Barry Brodsky is the Director of the Screenwriting Certificate Program at Emerson College, where he’s taught Screenwriting since 1998. He also teaches Screenwriting at Lesley University’s low residency MFA Creative Writing program and at Boston University’s Film School.
Barry wrote a chapter for the recently released book Now Write: Screenwriting (The Thematic Line of Dialogue).
His play Returnees was a finalist in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in 2008. In 2008 he was also nominated for an IRNE award (Independent Reviewers of New England) for Best New Play for The Boys of Winter (co-written with Eric Small and Dean B. Kaner). His stage plays have been produced in many theatres and cities over the past 20+ years.
I MISS YOU, a short film written by Barry, has been nominated for "Best Short Film" at the 2013 Madrid Film Festival.
